What are your team key projects?

The Material Planner is accountable for the managing of managing the supply of new or used material (Spares) to XEOS through the Material Logistic Centre (MLC). The individual will be the primary interface between the customer (XEOS) and all new/repair vendors are inside and outside the GE network.

XEOS is a brand-new world class engine overhaul facility being built to overhaul GEnx and GE9X engines. It is a Joint Venture between Lufthansa Technik (LHT) and GE Aviation. The MLC will provide essential materials and logistic services within Gate 2, to support XEOS overhaul process.

You will work on

  • Create and manage Purchase Orders for new, used & repair material
  • Manage used material quotation process and liaise with XEOS to get approval when required
  • Provide scrap replacement support when parts scrapped during vendor repair process
  • Communication with vendors to get accurate promise dates and status updates. Act as interface between vendor and XEOS
  • Communication with suppliers related to invoice/pricing or other general queries
  • Perform any vendor set up on GE systems and SSS payment systems
  • Updating ERP system with relevant information
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to close out reported non-conformances
  • Communication with vendors to get accurate promise dates and status updates. Act as interface between vendor and XEOS
  • Manage invoice and finance process related to spares material process
  • Import clearances and liaise with import customs broker
  • Communicate with freight company regarding transport
  • Quality Champion for MLC, where ownership of all aspect relating to MLC Quality policy, procedures, audits etc

What we expect from you?

  • Bachelors or higher-level Degree related to Engineering or Supply chain (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience working with or using ERP systems
  • Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Power Point
  • Experience in logistics and customs is preferred
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Polish
  • Passion about creating a lean process flow and initiating positive changes to the business
  • Willingness and desire to learn about detailed supply chain logistics and planning
  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment, both with suppliers and customer
  • Be a self-directing individual
  • Ability to scenario plan future events and explore mitigation plans, in case parts arrive later than expected
  • High level of attention to detail
