You will work on

  • Applying engineering principles for the purpose of design, application, support and commissioning of control systems for GE turbines.
  • Developing controls specifications and implement application software used to control a sequence of operations during startup, shutdown and normal operation of Gas Turbine Driven Generator Sets.
  • Designing, building and maintaining control system simulation equipment.
  • Designing and execute tests of software applications for control systems under development.
  • Providing technical support to Installation & Commissioning technicians for the purpose of eliminating problems encountered during startup of gas turbines.
  • Supporting customer (internal and external) meetings with a firm technical understanding of the product line.

What we expect from you?

  • BSc/MSc in Controls Engineering/Applied Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience and familiarity with Gas Turbines or other of industrial controls applications.
  • Knowledge of data communication and integration techniques to exchange information by multiple devices on a common Ethernet communication network.
  • Ability to diagnose a variety of controls systems devices including redundant controllers, measurement devices, final control elements, servo actuators, communications networks, personal computers, and computer operating systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet agreed-upon goals and measures.
  • Solid written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Communicative (fluent preferred) English written & verbal skills essential.

Additional skills

  • Knowledgeable about control systems.
  • Experience with GE Automation software including Cimplicity, iFix, WebSpace or ControlST.
  • Experience with other industrial automation software
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols including Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, CAN Open, IO Net, OPC.
  • Experience with Java, HTML, XML or GE Predix platform would be also very welcome.
